Wood graining, also known as Faux Bois, is the art of rendering the appearance of realistic wood.  Whether the desired effect is "wood like" or to accurately replicate real specimen wood species, graining is unmistakable from the real thing.  By understanding how a particular species grows in its tree and how its grain pattern evolves, and with a knowledge of the true colors various woods attain, your graining results will be realistic and the perfect solution for the feeling of a natural surface.
